As a result of the Champlain Bridge demolition, LCT has been contracted by the states to provide a temporary ferry service between Chimney Point, VT and Crown Point, NY. This ferry is subsidized by the states until further notice.
There is NO CHARGE at this crossing.
Overnight Hours:No Dock Master on Duty between 9:30 pm & 4:30 am. Please proceed to traffic lane and wait for traffic light.
Departure times may vary due to wind, ice conditions or traffic.
From Vermont: Rt. 22A to VT 17 W
From New York: Rt. 9N S to Bridge Rd./NY-185 E
Crossing Time: 15 minutes
No Trucks Over Legal Weight.

All placard vehicles need to fill out a Hazardous Material Form. The ferries at Crown Point and Chimney Point are allowed to carry a limited amount of HAZ MAT, as per CFR Title 49, Parts 170-180.
Any HAZ MAT that limits the number of passengers may cross only between the hours of 12:00 am and 3:00 am.
